The compressed bit stream is made available via a standard Broadcast interface and/or stored onto a single CompactFlash card.
Robustness against data loss because of power loss problems and corrupt files as well as simplicity in daily operation were key design criteria. More sophisticated setup functionality is accessible via serial interface.
