The MVC200-DC is a high-end hardware decoder targeting the professional applications Digital Cinema and Postproduction. Based on re-programmable (FPGA-) hardware and a powerful on-board microprocessor the MVC200-DC represents a worldwide unique solution for real-time decoding of JPEG2000 and MPEG-2 MP@HL files.

Due to the future-proof design the MVC200-DC supports different types of content and formats (SD, HD, 2K, 4K) from a single server without any hardware changes or re-programming: Blockbuster, advertisement and alternative content.

For Digital Cinema the MVC200-DC complies with the Digital Cinema System Specification V1.0 released on July 20, 2005 by the DCI. The whole Secure Media Block (SMB) functionality is integrated on the MVC200-DC card itself, making it to a very strong and intrinsically safe component in terms of content protection.
